This project involved the conversion of an existing property (ground floor shop with offices above). We have retained the ground floor shop unit and but have obtained planning permission to convert the upper floors into 3no flats.
We were appointed by the client to assist at all stages of the project, from concept designs, through to planning and building control. We prepared full technical drawings for contractors to work from and we are now periodically visiting site to review the construction works with a view to providing a final professional sign off certificate when the works are completed.
The building is benefiting from a full external insulation upgrade. New incoming services and a full refurbishment and fit out. These will be high quality flats within a short distance of the city centre and a great home for people.
We have helped the client maximise the use of the space, ensure compliance with building regulations, meet their health and safety obligations and are providing professional oversight to enable them to draw down funding from the banks.
