Designs for housing sites for refurbishment and new build sites are important projects for our practise. We have delivered a range of schemes in this sector alongside private property developers, property fund managers and social housing providers.  We have worked on projects ranging from brownfield development, to repurposing existing buildings and then new build large scale housing sites.  Our clients include; Harrand Homes, Coker Design and Build, Newport NORSE, RCW homes and CNC Property Fund Management amongst others.

Our work refurbishing existing buildings has seen great success across South Wales. Often working within the confines of tight sites and town centres to deliver housing stock above retail spaces. Often these scheme can be part funded through town centre regeneration schemes and offer a great way to deliver housing without carving up greenfield sites.  We believe that true sustainability can be found by updating existing building stock and developing brownfield sites, with a focus on high density development in town centres.  Our work for social housing providers demonstrates an ability to design a range of housing types, often to meet specific needs and community constraints. 

Work ranges from converting an old pub into 3no flats all the way through to 50 new build houses on the site of a former car dealership, we have capability to use Revit modelling software and co-ordinate these complicated designs with other professional input from structural engineers to lighting designers. Our detailed understanding of planning policy means that we can advise on these schemes from a very early stage, often working with developers when they are sourcing the land to advise on viability of housing.
