We have worked for Awen Cultural Trust on a number of Library refurbishment projects, this one at Pencoed Library is our most recent. We collaborated with friends of the practise Curtis Surveyors on this scheme, where we undertook full designs and specifications for the upgrade of the library. New roof insulation ensured that the building had a better thermal performance and introducing a new meeting room enabled the library to diversify by letting out the space to visitors. We took dated décor and upgraded it giving the library a new lease of life with glass balustrades, modern carpets, and upgraded IT infrastructure.
