The vision for this householder extension was to give the clients a centralised circulation space and improved entrance to the property. Currently, there is little flow to the layout of the house, with certain rooms of the property only accessible through other rooms.

To do this we added two extensions to the front of the property, one single storey, infilling the existing space next to the garage, and a second extension to the first floor above the garage. Within the single storey extension is built-in cloakroom storage, with access to a WC, the living room and kitchen-dining area. To the first floor, this gabled extension allows for a new master suite – complete with a new ensuite bathroom.

To the rear of the property, the client also wanted to replace the roof of their existing conservatory to allow for a more year round use of this existing addition to the dwelling; as well as further internal changes to connect the function of this room with the rest of the ground floor.
