Our Architectural Design Process

This is to enable us to give you a number of design options for the new extension at an early stage to give you the best understanding of what you can achieve and if you like it. This stage also includes us having early discussions with the planners to ascertain their feelings towards the development and the likely hood of them supporting it.The formulation of the final design for a planning application, then follows, based on your requirements for the extension, our understanding of planning policy, and construction and the planning officers views from stage 1a. We will submit the planning application on your behalf, including all forms and administration and see the application through with the planners hopefully working with them to achieve a positive result. 

This is where we apply our detailed understanding of construction and regulations to the drawings to provide a comprehensive detailed package for builders to work from, that meets all the requirements set out in the building regulations. We will liaise with; engineers, building control and other professionals as necessary to ensure the project is fully buildable and compliant. We will then administer a tender package to a number of building contractors so as to get the best price and quality for the build works. 

This involves the administration of a contract between you and the chosen builder, based on our detailed drawings, our understanding of construction laws and contract negotiation and the overseeing of build works on site to ensure the work is delivered in line with our drawings, regulations and is to the standard allowed for in the tender.
